The Magnum Foundation fosters creativity and diversity in documentary photography, activating new audiences and ideas through the innovative use of images. Through grant-making, mentoring, and creative collaborations, we partner with socially engaged image-makers experimenting with new models for storytelling.
Magnum Foundation is seeking to support up to 5 photographers with grants of $1,000 for the continuation of their work in Minnesota.

These grants are part of a Magnum Foundation initiative that is responding to the urgent need to chronicle the rapid, unprecedented shifts in American society, democracy, and civil life. Through photography, the project seeks to illuminate underrepresented stories, foster dialogue across communities, and create a living archive for both contemporary understanding and future memory.
The brief application is due by EOD Thursday, Feb 5th. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis. Grantees will be selected by the initiative's editorial team.
